Gull watching at Ogden

Ogden 1500 hrs. Dead calm, very dark and light drizzle.
A walk around the perimeter for a kick off where under the trees I could have done with a torch. Whats happened to the sky lately. Despite the grim visibility I found 1 tree with at least 9 Goldcrest in at the north end and a small flock of 18 Chaffinch whilst the Goldfinch flock was counting 25 in the car park area.
The Kingfisher flew from the NW corner around to the NE corner and a Tawny Owl was calling from the east plantation, that probably thought that it was night time too.
Back on the prom for a gull check with around 30 BHGs on the rails but no leg rings whilst c 150 mixed small gulls were on the water with around another 150 fly overs heading for the Oxenhope roost from the direction of Mixenden Reservoir. No big gulls were present tonight and nothing other than Mallards on the water.
