Windy Corner  1700-1800 hrs. W>5 Bright and sunny. Visibility Ferrybridge.

It was like all my birthdays had come at once tonight with the water slightly lower and the island tops and more shoreline showing. My first scope along the shoreline found 3 Little Ringed Plovers and a Ringed Plover to the south end of the water whilst 2 LRPs, 2 Common Sandpipers and 3 Oystercatchers were to the north end.  An exposed island near the centre held 16 Curlew but very mobile flying round between the water and the moor. These were probably part of the Curlew roost which builds up at this time of year.
Big gulls were constantly coming and going with around 300 LBBs along with 7 Herrings.
July is certainly kicking in early this year.
