Dailie Fields

Top of the Dailies looking east
A hazy Otley Chevin on the horizon
                                  Hawthorns at their best

Looking down into the old triangular station

This was going to be yesterdays blog until the LEO appeared last night and took preference .
A Thursday dinnertime dash to the top of the Dailies found them looking at their best with the Hawthorn bushes in full bloom and looking really spectacular.
Plenty bird noise from down near the station but no time to get down there and back as only 15 minutes to spare. This side of the station is well worth a look at as it is completely undisturbed with just the new cycle track running along the eastern side on the old Thornton line.
Several Swifts were feeding overhead as well as Swallows whilst LBB gulls were heading >NW.

Hopefully the rain will have brightened things up bird wise for the weekend so its back to reservoir watch for Terns moving through and Common Scoters on the water. July is a key month for Scoters although one has already been recorded today at Baitings, Calderbirds.
