Back on gull watch. Oxenhope. Members only.

                                       Peaceful shoreline
                                  A gull watches dream

Gulls along the south wall and banking
Hows this for deceiving. At great distance across the water
I scoped this Yellow Legged Herring gull ?
Wrong, the pink legs can just be made out and the
yellow legs belong to the LBB gull behind, near miss.
Again just a single Black Headed
                                                    LBBs

Oxenhope reservoir  1600-1730 hrs. cloudy with some sunny breaks. NW>3 Visibility Yeadon.

Pleasing today to see the western shore islands above water with a collection of Lapwings on them amongst the gulls.
Again plenty gulls to check out and a heart stopping moment on a suspected Yellow Legged but not this time. The Curlew roost is building up nicely with  11 on the shore as I arrived moving off onto the moor being joined by others.
Although it is only early yet things are slowly starting to move, roll on July.
