Dinner time drenching, Raggalds Flood and a Shelduck fly over

Water well up at the flood

                               25 Mallard present
                                   plus the usual Crows
                                             And BH gulls

Hopefully this lot will attract something else.

Again a reasonable early start to the morning then giving way to torrential rain which gave me a real good drenching walking home at lunch time.
After dinner and dog walk it was in the car and up to Raggalds Flood where it was lively but nothing of interest. A good count of 25 Mallard plus the usual small gulls and corvids.
By early afternoon the skies were clearing with a few Fieldfare over the garage and then the excitement started. A text from DJS at 1500 hrs with a Snow Bunting on Soil Hill, the first sighting of the winter. Well found Dave , a well deserved reward for perseverance .
A few minutes after, I took 2 tyres out to the scrap pile and looked up to see 4 Shelduck almost overhead and low, initially west but then veering off >S. Wish I,d have had my camera in my hand instead of tyres.
Hopefully the Snow Bunt will hang around a few days and invite some mates to join it.
