Old Guy Road, Roper Lane

Cricket field Common gull numbers building
                 1 Wheatear at each site

An early morning check on Old Guy Road before work found 23 Common Gulls on the pitch along with 1ad and 2 juv Pied Wagtails plus 1 Wheatear.
A recheck at lunch time found the Wheatear still present whilst a flock of c 40 Linnets were mobile between the fields and telephone wires.
On to Roper Lane to again see the f Redstart but at a greater distance along the wall. To add to the invasion of Siskin, a flock of around 30 were moving around the small plantation higher up the hillside near to the road whilst a single Wheatear was down near the pylon.
Scoping across to Taylor Lane one of the juv Cuckoos was perched on the wires in the usual area.
Ultra high up in the blue sky Swallows piled through >S throughout and from both watch points.
