Ghost town Ogden

After a day of heavy rain showers and still raining after work with low cloud and scud passing over it was off to Ogden in the hopes of something special being brought down.
On arrival I was the only car in the car park, funny how many fair weather people there are out there.
Unfortunately the bird population was the same with a near empty shoreline possible with the dark skies making the gulls move on to roost early.
Just 7 LBB gulls were out on the water and 18 BHGs around the waters edge whilst a Green Woodpecker was in good voice in the Nuthatch tree but well out of vision.
On the up side Swallows were piling over in waves of around 20 birds a time with short intervals between all in migration mode >S along with a small number of House Martins mixed in.
If this cloud continues over the weekend we could be in with a chance of something decent.
No Swifts now for me since last Sunday, 9th.
Get those reports flooding in this weekend.
