Nowt good about this Good Friday. FOG !!!

Ogden, as good as it got

At last, a day off work so birding gear at the ready, alarm blasting at 0600hrs and out of bed ready to hit Fly Flatts. A look out of the window, sheer horror, dense fog and heavy rain. Now the heavy rain I can live with but without x ray vision fog is impossible.
Dogs harnessed up and set off for Ogden hoping to get below the cloud base, wrong, conditions were just the same with heavy rain and visibility down to 30 yds.
From what I could see of the water only 6 Canadas and the usual Mallards were present, otherwise the place was deserted.
The male Sparrowhawk made another appearance by blasting through the feeding area but no birds around for it this morning.  Back to base by 0830 hrs which made Lynda think I,d come home poorly.
Oh well, catch up to some jobs, take Lynda out this afternoon and try for another birding session at tea time.
